ELSIE SPEARS
1918-1984
Funeral services were held in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel on
July 20 for Elsie Lemasters Spears, 66.
Mrs. Spears died July 17 1984 at her West Van Lear home.
She was born March 15, 1918, in Johnson County, the daughter of
Roscoe and Clara Lemasters, and was a member of the Freewill
Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Spears; a son, Lowell Spears,
West Van Lear; two step-daughters, Wanda Herald, Hager Hill, and
Marietta Morrison, West Van Lear; a sister, Thelma Crislip, Sitka;
nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Clarence Lemaster officiated at services with burial in Johnson
County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
