ROY TACKETT
1954-2005
Roy Tackett, 50, of Lowmansville, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Three
Rivers Medical Center, Louisa.
Born Sept. 2, 1954, in Floyd County, he was a son of the late Richard
and Myrtle Marie Lumpkins Tackett. He was a coal truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Versie Mae Castle Tackett of
Lowmansville; a son, Troy Tackett of Riceville; two daughters, Ruthie
Marie Spears of Riceville, and Neoma Faye Tackett of Denver; three
brothers, Ed Tackett of Louisa, Harold Tackett of Keaton, and Jimmy
Tackett of Staffordsville; two sisters, Janice Francis of East Point,
and Ruth Spencer of Hager Hill; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, Friday, July 8, at Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Doug Kestner
officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville,
under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
