CARL TURNER
1907-1974
Carl Turner, a native Johnson Countian, who has lived in Flatwoods
for the past 30 years, died in an Ashland Hospital on Tuesday,
November 5,(1974) an apparent victim of cancer.
The 67 year-old Turner was born on June 17, 1907, the son of the late
Frank and Rose Boyd Turner. He was a retired employee of Armco Steel
Corperation and a member of the Methodist Church.
Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Alka Cantrell Turner, whom he
married on September 21, 1935.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 8, in the Chapel of the
Paintsville Funeral Home with Reverend William E. Garriott
officiating. Interment was in the Turner Cemetery at Sitka. Serving
as pallbearers were Leon Williams, Roger Williams, Jack Ward
Stapleton, Larry J. Rice, Keith rest is missing.
