Hobert Wells 57, Dies Suddenly
Services Held Tuesday For Johns Creek Man

Hobert Wells, 57, died suddenly Sunday morning *Oct.17 1954 at his
home on Johns Creek. Found dead in bed, it is believed that he
succumbed to a heart attack.

The son of the late Moses and Arminta Bevins Wells, he was born
January 7 1897, in Floyd County. He was a member of the Philadelphia
Church of Christ.

He was a miner by occupation. He was preceded in death in December
1943, by his wife, Abbie Richmond Wells.

Surviving are two sons, Kermit Wells, Wabash, Ind.; and Jackie Wells,
at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Illena Grace May, of Lexington.

Also surviving are two sisters, Miss Jettie Wells, Van Lear; Mrs.
Golda Stevens, Huntington, W. Va.; and one half-brother Elmon Clark,
Van Lear.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Philadelphia Church of
Christ with the Rev. S.C. Honeycutt officiating.

Burial was made in the family cemetery on Johns Creek under the
direction of the Jones and Preston Funeral Home.
