Willie May Wheeler, 79 of Ashland, died Thursday December 30, 1971
in Ashland following an extended illness.
  
She was affiliated with the South Ashland United Methodist Church,
the Paintsville D.A.R. and the Order of the Easter Star.
  
She was the daughter of the late Dan and Mollie May Preston.
  
Immediate survivors include her husband, Herbert Wheeler, one son
W. Bruce Wheeler of Ashland, three sisters, Mrs. E.F. Harrison of
Pikeville, Mrs. Henrietta Preston of Pikeville, and Mrs. Carson
Davis of Ashland, and one brother, Paul Preston of Shreveport,
Louisana.
  
Funeral Services were conducted by Orin Simmerman, Jr. at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 1, 1972 in the Jones-Preston Chapel.
  
Burial followed in the Preston Cemetery in Paintsville under the
direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
