An EXTRACT from William Walter Jones Journal.
(Written 1880/1 on board Troopship Malabar whilst en route to India and during his subsequent trek with the 1st Battalion 23rd Royal Welch Fusiliers from Bombay to Chakrata in the Himalayas).

(This journal was discovered by my cousin, Simon and Glynis, his wife amongst photographs and other items and was given to me for which I am extremely grateful.)
