• "Classics in Washington History" - the Washington State Library and Washington Secretary of State's Office have collaborated to make several histories available online, including the "History of Old Walla Walla County", the "History of Clarke County, Washington Territory" and others. (Note: viewing these books requires the DJVU plug-in, which is available from the website).

In May of 1997, the US Biographies Project was organized by Jeff Murphy, using the established KY Biographies Project as a model. The intent was to provide a single entry point to all the biography projects.
