OBITUARY:
KENNEDY, Thomas Patrick

     Thomas Patrick Kennedy, 76, of Toledo, OH and formerly of Lyons, OH, died suddenly at his home Thursday, June 16, 2005. Tom was a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He was employed as a funeral director and embalmer with the Biehl-Malone Funeral Home, Lyons, OH, for more than 32 years, retiring in 1996.

     Tom was always interested in helping others in the community. He was a long time member of the Lyons Volunteer Fire Department. Tom was the first E.M.S. Director of Fulton County and was instrumental in obtaining funding for the first emergency vehicles within the county. He also was an E.M.S. Instructor for the Medical College of Ohio and the surrounding towns in Fulton County. After retiring He enjoyed working with computers.

     Tom was a former member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Lyons, the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, the Wauseon Elks Club, and the Lions Club.

     He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Colleen Kennedy; sons, Mike of Arizona and Craig (Karen) Kennedy of Toledo, OH; daughters, Joyce (Tom) Mika of Lyons, OH, Peaches (Al) Holland of Archbold, OH, and Karen Keller of Sylvania, OH; grandchildren, Molly, Monica, Mitchell, Amanda, Alex, and Gina and brothers, Jack of Sarasota, FL and Terry Kennedy of Albany, WI. Tom was preceded in death by his children Janet and Tim and parents, George T. and Lenore (Ryan) Kennedy.

     Those wishing to give memorials are asked to consider the Lyons Volunteer Fire Department. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Saturday, June 18th from 2 - 8 p.m. Interment will be private.
