OBITUARY:
BURROUGHS, Winifred "Peg" (SALLOWS)
August 4, 2007

     Winifred Katherine "Peg" Burroughs, age 89, of Metamora, Ohio, entered into rest Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare in Swanton. She was born January 24, 1918, in Morenci, Michigan to the late Leonard and Mildred (Richardson) Sallows.

     Peg was a graduate of Lyons High School. She married Clayton J. Burroughs and he died January 19, 1996.

     Also preceding her in death were her brother, Carl Sallows and sister, Janice O'Neil. Peg worked as a bank teller for Toledo Trust. Peg is survived by her sons, Dr. Jerry (Karla) Burroughs of Holland, OH and Dr. Lynn (Barbara) Burroughs of Oakdale, CA; grandchildren, Jake Anthony Burroughs, Jamie (Dane) Hudson, Megan (Jay) Brezovar and Rett (Justina) Burroughs and sisters, Jeanette Standish of Thomasville, GA and Ethel Cox of Morenci, MI.

     Graveside services will be held at Amboy Township Cemetery on Saturday, August 11th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mary Sullivan officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Metamora-Amboy Township fire hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Metamora United Methodist Church, 124 E. Main St., Metamora, Ohio 43540.
