OBITUARY:
FINFERA, Mary Elizabeth




     Mary Elizabeth Finfera, age 83, of Wauseon, Ohio, entered into eternal rest, Saturday evening, December 29, 2007, at Swanton Healthcare and Retirement Center. She was born December 22, 1924, in Blissfield, Michigan to Joseph and Reba (Potton) Dierkens. She married Richard Finfera, and he survives.

     Also surviving are son, Roger (Becky) Finfera; grandchildren, Jason (Wendy) Finfera, Bryan (Michelle) Finfera and Aaron (Rebecca) Finfera; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jade and Jessica Finfera; sisters, Madeline (Ralph) Schmitz and Katherine Crydder and brother, Charlie (Connie) Dierkens. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rudy; sisters, Alice McKenzie and Elizabeth McKenzie and brother, Jack Dierkens.

     Mary worked for Schmidlin Greenhouse until the age of 79. She loved flowers. Mary was a former member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Lyons and present member of St. Caspar Parish in Wauseon. She also was a member of the Lyons VFW Auxiliary Post #7574. Mary enjoyed bowling and playing cards.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 3rd, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Assumption, where visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass. Fr. Dennis Metzger will officiate. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery in Lyons.
