HAMILTON, Charles H. Wauseon; Fulton Co.: Charles H. Hamilton, 86, of rural Wauseon died early Friday February 22, 2008 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. Prior to his retirement he was a lifelong Farmer raising pure bred Hampshire and Yorkshire hogs. He had also served as a Pike Twp. Trustee, a Pike Twp. Road Supervisor and a Pike Twp. School Bus Driver. Mr. Hamilton was born on March 25, 1921 the son of the late Hal and the late Hazel (Sallows) Hamilton. On January 9, 1943 he married Mary Jane "Jane" Galbraith and she preceded him in death in December 2007. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golf. Mr. Hamilton was a US Army veteran of WWII having served in Korea and Japan. He was a member of the Lyons VFW Post #7574 and a member of the Lyons Odd Fellows Lodge. Surviving is son; Richard "Dick" (Shirley) Hamilton of Wauseon, daughter; Lou Ann (Greg) Barnes of Lyons; grandchildren Jill (Karl) Campbell of Archbold, Lori (Ted) Puehler of Lyons, Lacy (Nick) Stambaugh of Lyons, Clint (fiance` Marcy Dominique) Barnes of Lyons and great-grandchildren; Mitchell, Madison, Marshall (Mac) Campbell, Garrett, Zachary Puehler and Cooper Stambaugh. Preceding him in death were two brothers; Wesley and Franklin Hamilton and two sisters; Emily Williams and Pearl Miller Holstein Miller. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday February 25, 2008 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with the Rev. Floyd Vincent officiating. Interment will follow in the Winameg Cemetery. Friends may call at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon from 11:00am until service time on Monday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lyons-Royalton Fire and Rescue Department. |
