2. Thomas Jefferson Garner Dr. 2,3,4,5 was born on 18 Jan 1833 in Rome, Floyd County, Georgia, died on 6 Jan 1902 in Rogers, Benton County, Arkansas 3 and was buried in Rogers, Arkansas. The cause of death was typhoid fever. User ID:1012.

According to Thomas Jefferson Garner III handwritten notes in the Garner Bible, Dr. T. J. Garner came to Arkansas from Georgia in 1860.

According to Mable Flippin's taped conversation with Lucille Garner Rowland, Thomas Jefferson and Frances Garner took their children on a trip once. T.J. closed his medical practice for a period and prepared a covered wagon to travel and live in. He took a year off to just see some of the country. He wanted his children to see it. They went clear down to Central Texas and lived for awhile in Brownwood, Texas.

Thomas Jefferson Garner moved from Boone County, Arkansas to Rogers, Arkansas late in 1901 and practiced medicine. He and his son-in-law Eli Key, also owned the grocery store of Daily and Deason. A month after he moved to Rogers, he went on horseback into a winter storm on a medical call and became ill and died. According to his obituary he died of typhoid fever.

Thomas married Frances Jane Jones, daughter of Richard Simon Jones and Mary (Polly) Page, on 5 Aug 1857. (Frances Jane Jones was born on 5 Mar 1840 in Western Grove, Arkansas, died on 7 Dec 1924 in Wagoner, Oklahoma 10 and was buried on 8 Dec 1924 in Elmwood Cemetery, Wagoner, Oklahoma 10.) The cause of death was tuberculosis.

According to Mable Flippins taped conversation with Pearl Johnston Mallard (granddaughter of Frances Jane Jones), Frances was dutch.
