CASTLE, Cora Ellen (Castle) 1922-1989 Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements for Cora Ellen Castle, 66. Mrs. Castle was born
December 17, 1922 in Johnson County, the daughter of Hard Castle and
Sarah Scarberry Castle. Surviving are a son, Carlos Castle of Nippa;
two daughters, Janet Montgomery of Flat Fork, and Wila Mae Brown, of
West Van Lear; six sisters, Betty Flowers, of Toledo, OH, Jean Hayes
and Elleda Stambaugh, both of River, Lora Castle of Nippa, Nola Mae
Fitch, of Paintsville, and Clora Copas of Urbana, OH and 6
grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren. Funeral services were held
Sunday, Jan 29, in Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church, with Charles
Stapleton, Gail Music, and J. R. Castle officiating. Burial was in the
family cemetery at Nippa. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, Feb 1, 1989
