CRUMMELVINCEM
MELVIN CRUM CEMETERY
Cemetery is located approximately 2/3 miles West of the Martin County line. When you get to
the Spring Knob Road, turn right and take it about 5 miles to the very end of the road. This
will take some time to traverse as the road isn’t in the best of conditions. When you get to
the end one will have to ask for directions to the cemetery. You can drive there but it’s not
recommended.

NOTE: On this cemetery, you will find a second (old) stone that says Mahala Crum. The
headstone for Mahala and Melvin have been replaced with a new one. The old stone for
Mahala has since become a headstone for their son Elmer Crum. It still contains her
name but it is on his grave. Elmer did not have a headstone, so Mahala's old stone
was used so the burial location would not be lost forever.
Elmer Crum: Was the son of Melvin and Mahala Crum.
This info came from Delmer Crum the brother of Elmer Crum.
