Located at Meally, Ky across the road from the mouth of Short Branch, on top of the hill
on right hand side of Loon Branch.

In Jan 2004 we are informed that this cemetery should be named the "GRANT SHORT
CEM". This information comes from Zelda Boyd Short, she still lives on the
Loon Branch and is 87 years old.  Grant Short started this cemetery when his
infant daughter Ruth Short died..
This listing was first published in The Highland Echo, Vol 16 No 62, page 26,
a quarterly published by the Johnson County Historical Society. This same listing
was also published in 2003 in JOHNSON COUNTY CEMETERIES VOL-4 on page-34. All four
volumes of these cemetery books of Johnson County Ky,. can be purchased from
the Johnson County Historical Society at this address.
