*: No one knows anything about the three Jefferson's buried on this cemetery.
**:The three Stanaford children are the the children of Elijah & Stella Ward Stanaford.
Elijah Stanaford was originally buried on this cemetery but was exhumed and buried on the
Wilson Cemetery with his wife Stella, due to the fact that this cemetery was so hard to get to.
NOTE: The cemetery is in the head of no where. It took me 3 hours to get there
and then find it. There is no way anyone else will ever be buried there. It's as
close to impassable (by foot) as you can get. I remember as a kid the road could
be traversed by foot as I used to do so in order to coon hunt with Hansford Ward.
I couldn't believe just how bad it had gotten. A bulldozer would have to build
a road before it could get up there to cemetery. It is approximately 3/8th mile
off main road.
