ED BLANTON
1885-1978

Ed Blanton, 92, died Wednesday, Jan 18, in Paintsville Hospital after
an extended illness.

Born Sep 14, 1885 in Morgan Co., he was the son of Elias and Minerva
McCarty Blanton. Mr. Blanton was a resident of Winn and a retired
farmer and oil field employee.

Preceding him in death were two wives, Hattie Howard Blanton and
Ellen Blanton, Dec 25, 1974.

Surviving are four sons, John, Elna, Jim, Blanie, Jack all of Winn
and Melvin of Beattyville; four daughters, Alta Cantrell and Della
McKenzie of Fuget, Ethel Curtis and Mary Cochran, of Oil Springs; 51
grandchildren; 92 great grandchildren; 41 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan 21 in the Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel with Elders Tommy Bailey, Lonza Reed, and Fonzie
Cantrell officiating.

Burial was in the Williams Cemetery at Winn.
