ROBERT BOWEN
1941–2002
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 12, 2 p.m. at the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Robert Bowen, 60, who
passed away Wednesday, January 9 2002 at his Lowmansville
residence.
Mr. Bowen was born September 7, 1941 in Johnson County, son of
the late Albert Bowen and Janorah Collins Bowen.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Staggs Bowen; two sons, Robert
Eugene Bowen of Nashville, TN., and Donnie Ray Bowen of
Paintsville; two daughters, Sherry L. McFaddin of Leander, and
Stephanie Leanne Flink of Louisville; one step- daughter,
Melissa Castle of Ashland; three brothers, Dennie R. Bowen of
Riceville, Arnold Bowen of Wittensville, and Donnie Joe Bowen
of Thealka; five sisters, Beulah McClure of Atlanta, Ga.,
Garnet Armstrong of Paintsville, Mabel Blair of Leander, Kathy
Scott of Riceville, and Shirley Stamper of Swamp Branch; six
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; close friends Judy
Webb of Paintsville, Jane Beck of Lowmansville, and Peggy
Nelson of Prestonsburg.
The service was officiated by David Allen and Hubert Slone,
with burial following in Highland Memorial Park,
Staffordsville
