JANORAH BOWENS 1923-2007 JOHNSON COUNTY Janorah Collins Bowens, 84, of Leander, died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville. Born March 14, 1923, at Crown City, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Rosie Gertrude Ball Collins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bowens; a son, Robert Bowens; and two daughters, Estille Bowens and Ermalee Bowens. Survivors include three sons, Arnold Bowens of Lowmansville, Dennis Bowens of Leander, and Donnie Bowens of Thealka; five sisters, Garnett Armstrong of Paintsville, Mable Blair and Shirley Bingham, both of Leander, Beulah McClure of Aceworth, Ga., and Kathy Scott of Riceville; a sister, Erma Jean Trent of Oceana, W.Va.; 27 grandchildren; 42 great- grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 26, at Phelps and Son Funeral Home, Hager Hill, with Joe Scott and Jerry Scott officiating.
