JEWELL CANTRELL
1914-1996
Former Johnson County resident Jewell Fairchild Cantrell, 81, died
Wednesday, February 7, 1996 , at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Mrs. Cantrell was born April 1, 1914, in Johnson County, the daughter
of the late Henry and Hannah McKenzie Fairchild. She was a member of
the United Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Hurley Cantrell,
on November 11, 1986.
Surviving are one foster son, Roger Lemaster of Louisville; one
brother, Tom W. Fairchild of Mt. Eden; one sister, Ethel Marie
Lemaster of Louisville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 11, 1996, at Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel, with Eulas Adams, Dewey McCarty, Wayne Blair and
warren Blanton officiating.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Low Gap.
