Former Resident Of County Dies In Louisville

Mrs. Hannah Fairchild, 71, died at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, October 22,
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Cantrell in Louisville.
She had been ill for the past four years.

The daughter of Wallace and Katie Estep McKenzie, she was born May
5, 1889, at Red Bush and had been living in Louisville for the past
few years. She was a member of the United Baptist Church.

Surviving besides her daughter are her husband, Henry Fairchild;
one son, Tom W. Fairchild, Louisville; another daughter, Mrs. Ethel
Lemaster, Louisville; four brothers, Trigg and Tolbert McKenzie
both of Elna; Colbert McKenzie, Landon, O.; Prock McKenzie,
Oklahoma; four sisters, Mrs. Sheridan Estep, Fuget; Mrs. Lonnie and
Mrs. Tolba Burchett, both of Elna; Mrs. Ollie Fairchild, Oil
Springs.

Funeral Services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the
United Baptist Church at Low Gap with Lonza Reed, Tommy Bailey and
Oscar McCarty as officiating ministers.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Low Gap.
