HENRY FAIRCHILD
1886-1972
   
Henry Fairchild, 86, a former Johnson Countian living in Louisville for the
past three years, succumbed there October 13 after a short illness.
  
He was born in Johnson County in September 1886, the son of Thomas and
Elizabeth Jane Conley Fairchild. Mr. Fairchild was a member of the United
Baptist Church.
  
His wife, Hannah McKenzie Fairchild, preceded him in death in October 1960.
  
Survivors include a son, Tom Fairchild, and two daughters, Mrs. Jewell
Cantrell and Mrs. Ethel Lemaster, all of Louisville. Six grandchildren and
three great grandchildren also survive. A sister, Mrs. Ed Blanton, lives at
Win.
  
Services were held Monday, October 16 at the Low Gap United Baptist Church,
with Lonza Reed, J. T. Bailey and Arnold Reed officiating.
  
Burial was in the family cemetery at Low Gap. The Paintsville Funeral Home
was in charge of arrangements.
