KENDALL GAMBLE
1914-1981
 
Kendall Gamble, 66, died Thursday, March 19, at Red Bush. Mr. Gamble
was born July 14, 1914, in Morgan County, the son of Elijah and
Lillie Mae Wright Gamble.
 
He was a retired carpenter and farmer and a member of the Enterprise
Baptist Church.
 
His first wife, Rosie Smith Gamble, preceded him in death in 1978.
 
Surviving are his mother, Lillie Gamble; his wife, Madeline Downing
Gamble; two sons, Johnny Gamble, Red Bush and Tommy Gamble, Blaine;
two daughters, Myrtle Pennington and Lillie Mae Conley; five
brothers, Lonza and Jack Gamble, Springfield, OH, Ossie L. Gamble,
Beauty, Simon Gamble, Franklin, OH, and Jessie B. Gamble, Columbus,
OH; four sisters, Betty Cox, Red Bush, Marvie Brewar, Flat Gap, Viola
Gillem, Franklin, OH, and Mattie Jane Young, Columbus.
 
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 22 in Enterprise Baptist
Church, Flat Gap, with Paul E. Keaton and Harold Salyer officiating.
 
Burial was in Jaynes Cemetery, Flat Gap, with Paintsville Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
