ROBERT GUNNING
1903-1986
Paintsville resident Robert Gunning, 82, died May 6 1986 in UK
Medical Center in Lexington following an extended illness.
Mr. Gunning was born October 29, 1903, in Maryland, the son of
ROBERT and MARY LOUISE HAGLEY GUNNING.
He was retired instructor for Mayo State Vocational-Technical
School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Paintsville.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Meade Gunning; a son Robert Gunning,
Jr. of Columbia, SC; a sister, Stella Bruce of Ashville, NC; three
grandchildren and eight great- gandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 9, in First Baptist Church
with Rev. Donald Yeager officiating.
Burial was in Meade Cemetery at Staffordsville, with Paintsville
funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
