Elza Hall, 64, Retired Barber Dies January 6 Elza Hall, 64, resident
of Meally and formerly a well-known barber of this city, died in a
local hospital Friday afternoon, January 6, after an extended
illness.
The son of the late A. J. and Sarah Elizabeth Ramey Hall, he was born
in this county June 4, 1896.
Surviving are three brothers, Curtis Hall, Thelma; Charlie Hall,
Meally; James Hall, Lancer; a half brother, John Hall, West Van Lear,
and a half sister, Mrs. Laura Sammons, West Van Lear.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 8, at
the chapel of the Jones and Preston Funeral Home with J. H. Short as
officiating minister.
Graveside rites were conducted by the DAV. Burial was in the
Wheeler
Cemetery at Concord.
