FRED HANNIBAL MEADE
1911-1963

Fred Hannibal Meade, 52, resident of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and native
of this county, died in King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Ashland at
10:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30, following a brief illness.

The son of the late Fred and Lula Butler Meade, well- known
residents of this county, he was born at Staffordsville May 21,
1911.

He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and had made his
home in Wheelersburg for a number of years where he was employed as
a filling station attendant.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Cantrell Meade; a son,
Charles Garry Meade, Wheelersburg, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald
Johnson, Sciotoville, Ohio; a brother, Gus Meade, Ashland; six
sisters, Mrs. Crate Rice, Mrs. Robert Gunning, Mrs. W. C. Bailey
and Mrs. Hysell Burchett all of this city; Mrs. W. M. Welch,
Lexington; Miss May Meade, Ashland.

Also surviving are four grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., today at the chapel
of the Paintsville Funeral Home with Willard Wilcox and Charles
Stapleton as officiating ministers.

Burial was in the Meade Cemetery at Staffordsville.
