VIRGIL MEEK

Virgil Meek, 65, died Monday, February 23, at his Concord home after
an extended illness. Born April 24, 1910, in Johnson County, he was
the son of the late Ace and Alice Davis Meek.

He was retired coal miner and a member of the Rockhouse Freewill
Baptist Church.

He married Eulah Collins Meek on December 15, 1953, in Paintsville.

Surviving other than his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Minnie Lou Preston
of Farmersville, Ohio; two brothers, Authie of Port Clinton, Ohio and
Clarence of Turner Branch; a sister, Loraine Rainer of Port Clinton,
Ohio; two grandchildren, Billy Joe Preston, Jr., and Charles Preston.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, in the Concord
Freewill Baptist Church with Reverends Irvin Castle, Norman Roberts
and Charles Stapleton officiating.

Burial will be in the Concord Family Cemetery with Preston Funeral
Home handling arrangements.
