EDGAR WELLS
1914-1971

Edgar Wells, a 56-year-old lifetime Boons Camp resident, died in
his home on February 26 after being ill for a year.

The son of the late Ed and Nora Ghost Wells was a retired miner
and member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Preston Wells; six sons,
Jimmy, Herbert and Edgar Wells, Jr. of Boons Camp, Larry Wells of
Warren, Ohio, Zip Wells in Meally, and Gary Michael Wells, serving
with the U. S. Army at Fort Campbell; three daughters, Mrs. Jewell
Brown of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Christine Hall in Meally, and Mrs.
Darlene Blair of Leander. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs.
Hazel Preece of Boons Camp and Mrs. Hester Staniford of Dayton,
Ohio, and nine grandchildren.

Services were held in the home on February 28, with J. H. Short
officiating.

Burial followed in the Wells Cemetery at Boons Camp, under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
