Larry F. Wells, 63, of Murphy, N.C., died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006 in
Warren, Ohio.
Born May 28, 1942, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late
Edgar and Rebecca Preston Wells. He was a foreman with Packard
Electric and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Daugherty Wells of Murphy; a
son, Larry Joseph Wells of Holly Springs, N.C.; a daughter, Carla
Schaffner of Warren, Ohio; four brothers, Gary Wells of Flat Gap,
Zip Wells of Morgan County, Herbert Ray Wells of Ohio, and Jimmy
Wells of Boons Camp; three sisters, Christine Hall of Meally,
Darlene Blair of Hager Hill, and Jewell Dean Fitch of New York;
five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, Paintsville, with Emanuel Daugherty officiating.
Burial was in Wells Family Cemetery, Boons Camp, under direction
of Preston Funeral Home.
