SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR REBECCA WELLS
  
Leander resident, Rebecca Wells, 70, died Thursday, December 24
1992 at her residence.
  
Mrs. Wells was born March 26, 1922 in Martin County, the daughter
of the late Edgar and Norma Fletcher Preston.  She was a member of
the Meally Church of Christ.
  
She was preceded in death by the husband, Edgar Wells, in 1971.
  
Surviving are six sons, Jimmy and Edgar Wells Jr., both of
BoonsCamp, Gary Wells of Ramey Branch, Zip Wells of Tomahawk,
Larry Wells of Murphy, North Carolina, and Herbert Wells of
Brookville, Ohio; three daughters, Christine Hall of Meally,
Darlene Blair of Leander and Jewell Fitch of Murphy;  three
brothers, Edgar Preston Jr. of Brookville, Billy Preston of
Farmersville, Ohio and Marvin Preston of Flatwoods; two sisters,
Joyce Preston of Michigan and Doris Davis of Ohio; and 14
grandchildren  and 10 great grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 27 in Preston Funeral
Home Chapel with Willie Goble officiating.
 
Burial was in Wells Cemetery at BoonsCamp.
