Alka Williams, 76, of Ashland, died Wednesday, February 2 at King’s
Daughters’ Hospital in Ashland following a brief illness.
  
She was affiliated with the United Baptist Church.
  
She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Louise Wheeler Reed.
  
Immediate survivors include four sons, Langley Williams of Oil
Springs, Ashley Williams of Miamisburg, OH, Kendrick Williams of Oil
Springs, and James Williams, Jr., of Dayton, OH, two daughters, Mrs.
Imogene Brown of Ashland and Mrs. Ruth Pendleton of Ashland, one
brother, Arthur Reed of Swamp Branch, and two sisters Mrs. Eulah
Johnson of Harrodsburg and Mrs. Mae Williams of Win.
  
Funeral services were conducted by Everett Slone, Lonza Reed, and
Arnold Reed at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 5 in the Fishtrap United
Baptist Church at Manila.
  
Burial followed in the Williams Cemetery at Win under direction of
Paintsville Funeral Home.
