ROBERT AKERS
1928-1980
West Van Lear resident Robert (Bob) Akers, 52, died Sunday, May 25, in
University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington.
He was born July 4, 1928, in Johnson County, the son of Russell and
Ocie Conley Akers.
Surviving are his mother, Ocie Akers, and a sister Pauline Patrick of
Madison, OH.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 28 in Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel with Dave Flannery officiating.
Burial was in Richmond Cemetery at Paintsville with Jones- Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
