Jerry Blanton, 45, of Oil Springs, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at UK
Medical Center, Lexington.
  
He was a son of Wilma Blanton and the late Claude Blanton Jr.
  
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Blanton.
  
Additional survivors include three brothers, Charles Blanton of
River, Lenzie Blanton and Sedrick Blanton, both of Oil Springs; and
two sisters, Peggy Webb of Oil Springs, and Joyce Fairchild of
Wittensville.
  
Funeral services were Saturday, July 8, at Pigeon Enterprise Baptist
Church. Burial was in Blanton Cemetery, Oil Springs, under direction
of Paintsville Funeral Home.
