WATSON WILLIAMS DIES AS RESULT OF ACCIDENT IN COUNTY

Watson Williams, son of Millard Williams, of near Win, was almost
instantly killed late Wednesday afternoon when a car in which he
was riding with four other young people overturned on the Garrett
Highway on Barnetts Creek.

Buel Williams, son of Jailer Charles Williams, who also was riding
in the car at the time of the accident, was painfully injured.

According to meager reports received as The Herald was going to
press the automobile, a small roadster, went out of control either
from a blowout or because of the slippery condition of the road
and overturned. The accident occurred on the Barnetts Creek
section of the Garrett Highway.

The occupants are said to be students at the Oil Springs High
School, and were returning home from school.

As The Herald goes to press, funeral arrangements had not been
made for young Williams.
