VIRTUS CASTLE
1924-1998
Virtus Castle, 73, of Thealka, died Wednesday, May 6, 1998, at
Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
He was born November 21, 1924, in Floyd County, the son of Ervin
H. and Betty Bradley Castle.
He was employed by Three Way Coal Company and a member of
Southside Freewill-Baptist Church. He also belonged to the
Paintsville Masonic Lodge 381 F & AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by three sons, Danny Ray Castle and Terry Castle,
both of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Jerry Castle of Birmingham,
Ala.; one daughter, Pamela Castle of Parkersburg, West Virginia;
five brothers, Charles Castle of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; Bob
Castle of Thealka; Green Castle of Winterhaven, Fla.; and Verlin
and Virgil Castle, both of Thealka; one sister, Fanny White of
Winterhaven, Fla; eight grandchildren; and seven great-
grandchildren.
Services were May 9, at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Eddie Young officiating
Burial was in the Castle Cemetery in Thealka.
