CORWIN WILLIAMS 1890-1964 Corwin Williams, 73, retired painter, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Blanton, Thealka, at 6:45 a.m., Saturday, January 11, following an illness of two weeks. A son of the late William A. and Lena Witten Williams, he was born in this county, September 17, 1890, and had lived at Oil Springs most of his life. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. Survivors include besides his daughter, his widow, Mrs. Edna Caudill Williams; a son, Howard Williams, Dayton, Ohio; another daughter, Mrs. W. J. Cantrell, Oil Springs; two brothers, Charles M. Williams, Dayton, Ky; James B. Williams, Fairborn, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Steve Fazier, Elna. Also surviving are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m., Monday in the chapel of the Jones and Preston Funeral Home with Lonza Reed as officiating minister. Burial was in the family cemetery at Thealka.
