1758 in County Tyrone, Knockavaddy ,Parrish of Desertcreat, Electoral

Rock, Northern Ireland. He immigrated in March 1795 to Charleston, South Carolina. James and Nancy
and family landed in Charleston, South Carolina on St. Patrick's Day in March of 1795 on
the ship named the Volunteer. Margaret was born aboard ship. He moved about 1800 to
Laurens County., South Carolina. He received his US Citizenship in 1809 in Laurens
County, South
Carolina. He died in 1845 in Lumpkin County, Georgia. He was married to Nancy
Agnus WIER on August 4, 1783 in Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
The year of his marriage was from
research information received from Ireland. The Church James attended
was the Carland Presbyterian Church and records from there stated that
he married Agnus Nancy Wier in her church in Cookstown.

65. Agnus Nancy WIER was born
about 1760 in County Tyrone, Belnagilla (we haven't been able to find
this city. it is likely that the actual city she came from was
Ballynagilly), Parish of Lissan, Northern Ireland. She died in
