ZAHN Lewis, Saline, and Greene Counties in Missouri.  The ZAHNs came from Hockenheim, Germany in 1837 to Pike Co., OH, then to Cass Co, IL, before moving to northern Missouri and ultimately on to other states over the succeeding generations

ZAHRNDT, Ernest
(b: 1861 Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany D: 1928 Missouri) who immigrated to Chicago, IL circa 1884, and later moved to Missouri circa 1917. He's currently buried in Middlebrook Cemetary, Middlebrook MO. His 2nd wife was Marie (aka Mary) and they resided on Caledonia Road (Iron County) in 1920. Their children were Helen (B: ca 1907 in Chicago) and Theodore (aka Ted b: Christmas Day. 1908 in Chicago d: Jan 1976, later found in St. Louis MO). Her children from her first marriage were Herbert (b: ca 1902)and Paul (b: ca 1903) Behrens. Ernest is my great-great-grandfather from his first marriage. His children from his first marriage (Louisa) were Ernest (b: 1882 Germany), Herman (b:1887 Chicago, later located in Hammond, IN and my great-grandfather), Fred (b: 1889 Chicago and later found in Caseyville, IL), Eddie (b: 1885 - not found yet)
ZAHRNDT, Henry A. (1865-1925) wife Johanna B.  ZAHRNDT (1867-1941) they made their home in Union, Mo., and are buried in Washington, Mo. 
2 daughters born to them: 
         Edna...married Walter Fink and 
       Wilma...married Carl T. Webber

ZIMMERMAN, Lydia (b.abt 1844), Pike Co., Ohio, married John Cain in 1860 and they lived in the Pea Ridge area, north of Cainsville, Missouri. Her parents were Jacob Zimmerman, and Susanna Cook, both born abt. 1806 in Virginia.  Jacob and Susanna's children, (Lydia's siblings), were: William-1834, Rufus-1836, Henry-1838, Nancy jane-1844, and mary E.-1845.
