!DEATH: OBIT: News Register Dec. 5, 1980 Fred Bissell Services will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Saturday in the Chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors for Fred Bissell, 58, of 830 Shady Rd.,
McMinnville. A native of Yamhill County, he died at his home Dec. 2, 1980.
Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park mausoleum.
Born in Willamina, Jan. 16, 1922, son of Rex and Bertha Boeche Bissell,
he attended schools in Willamina, Mr. Bissell served in the European theater in
World War II, after which he attended Linfield College. Mr. Bissell's wife Jean died earlier this year.
Mr. Bissell worked as a construction surveyor at the Rowell and Wichersham Construction Co.and
worked about 10 years as the assistant city engineer before his retirement in 19--
Mr. Bissell was a member of McMinnville Elks Lodge 1283, Moose Lodge ----, and several citizens-----
organizations in the north west. He was a past member of the National ------ Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Arnold, his parents Rex and Bertha Bissell, and a grandchild,
all of McMinnvile. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fred Bissell Fund in care of Macy & Son in McMinnville.

died April 30, 1987.  Mr. Bissell was
born in McMinnville, Oregon and lived
in Tacoma for 1 1/2 years.  He was a member
of VFW and a U.S. army veteran.
