VELMA ELDER was born Feb 18 1900 in Wise Co., Texas.
 Her husband WHITSON ARNOLD LANCASTER preceeded her in death on Nov 24 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Velma died Aug 18 1976 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Both Velma and Whitson are buried in the Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Whitson and Velma's children were JERRY NELL LANCASTER and GEORGE DON LANCASTER.
Velma was the daughter of
QUINTON D. ELDER & MARY LOU TOMLINSON. Velma's sisters were
 RUTH (ELDER) VENDEVILLE &
SIBYL (ELDER) BENTLEY TALCHIEF.
Velma's grandchildren are SHERRIE MILLER, MICHAEL MILLER,

    Q.D. left Mollie. He visited Velma when Jerrys' children Mike and Sherri were little kids.
That is all we personally knew of him.
 Quinton is listed on the June 13, 1900 Wise Co., Texas Census
with his spouse Mollie, his mother-in-law Selina age 56 and his baby daughter Velma.
He is listed as a Farmer who was renting his property.
He could read & write and speak English.
He is also listed as being married only 2 years at the time.
    NOTE: The following is found in California Death Records;

     died 31 Mar 1956 Yolo, Ca.

    NOTE: If what Aunt Jerry stated from memory is correct then Quinton came to visit
Velma just about 4 years before he had died, unless Later on the 1920 Sacremento Ca.
Census shows Quinton Elder born in Tx. and both parents from N.C.
He is a laborer for a Beverage Company. It shows his spouse as
Jeanette age 35? born Ca. parents N.Y. and Canada for her mother.
 Quinton's father John A. is residing in their home at age 86 from N.C. and parents from N.C.
He is shown as retired.
    On Quinton's death certificate it states he was a Lineman for the P.G. & E. Co., Woodland, Ca.
He had died in the Yolo General Hospital in Yolo.
    Funeral directors for both Quinton and Jeannette were Kraft Bros. Woodland, Ca.
