1988- From the "Advance Reporter," Stryker & West Unity, Ohio,
Thursday, July 7, 1988, page 2, Col. 4:
"Erma M. Morehouse 88, RFD 2, Defiance, died Monday afternoon,
July 4, 1988, at Leisure Oaks Nursing Home, Defiance.
  Born in Weston on February 10, 1900, she was the daughter of
Cora (Rumler) and Lewis ROE.
  Her husband, Leland, preceded her in death in July, 1986.
  Mrs. Morehouse was a retired employee of LaChoy Foods in Archbold, and
was a member of the Evansport United Methodist Church.
 Surviving are a son, Edward of RFD 2, Defiance;
four great-grandchildren; and
a brother, Marlin ROE of Weston.
  Services were held this morning (Thursday) at the Grisier Funeral
Home, Stryker, with the Rev. Marlin Peters officiating.
Burial was in Weston Cemetery."

Defiance, Defiance Co, OH.  The Crescent-News, Thurs, Feb 23, 1989, p. 5:
EVANSPORT.  EDWARD D. MOREHOUSE, 62, Route 2, Defiance, died Wednesday
afternoon in his home, following an extended illness.
  He was born April 2, 1926, in Weston, the son of Leland and Erma (Roe) Morehouse.
In 1948, he married Patricia Roehrig, who survives.  He was employed at LaChoy Food Products, Archbold, before retiring in 1975 and was a farmer.  A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Evansport United Methodist Church, Superior Lodge F&AM, Defiance Order of Eastern Star, Archbold American Legion Post and Evansport VFW Post.
  Surviving are a son, Jerry, Route 2, Defiance; four grandchildren; two brothers, Leland of Grand Rapids and Robert, Walbridge; and two sisters, Cora Trichner of Florida state and Patricia Ward, Wauseon.
  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Grisier Funeral Home, Stryker.
Revs. Melvin Peter and H. Edward Johnson will officiate.  Burial will be in Evansport Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday.
  Preferred memorials are to the church building fund.
