07HareMemorialNotes Frank Edward Hare was born Nov 25, 1895 and enlisted August 21, 1917 and sailed for France on May 5, 1918 with the 28th Division and was in all the engagements that the old 18th Regiment took part in. He was honorably discharged on May 16, 1919. He was a member of the Carlisle Post 106 of  the VFW and of the Junior O.U.A.M. Lodge. He married Edith Landis in April 1928 and died January 2, 1979.

J.K.B. (Joseph Kirkpatrick Bole Hare) was born in Pgh on Oct 3, 1893.  he graduated from Kiskiminetas Springs School in 1912 and in the same year went to work for Westinghouse Airbrake Co. as engineer and salesman.  In May, 1917, he enlisted in the 2nd Reserve Officers raining Camp at Ft. Ogelthorpe, GA as second lieutenant.  He served overseas in the 82nd Division N.A, as platoon and company commander. In Sept, 1918, he was appointed intelligence officer and aide-de-ccamp to Brig. General M.D. Cronin, 163rd Inf. Brigade. He was discharged as 1st lieutenant at camp Dix, NJ on February 7, 1919 and again entered the employ of Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing as a branch manager for the company in Columbus, OH.
