Sarah and Amelia TAYLOR & William KIRK:
Amelia was born on October 1st 1832 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England. William was born in Goosnargh, Lancashire, England on November 28th 1827. William and Amelia were married in the Wesleyan Chapel at Grey Institution in New Plymouth New Zealand on October 19th 1854. They lived in New Plymouth for about 9 months and then moved to Wanganui. They had a family of six, three of each, all born in Wanganui. William, a carpenter, died as the result of an accident, aged 45, in Wanganui on January 17th 1873. Amelia died on June 26th 1899 in Wanganui. Amelia's mother, Sarah died in Wanganui on November 25th 1865, aged 60 years.
