Old De Leon Cemetery

De Leon, Comanche Co., Texas, is located on the east side of town, a quarter mile south of Hwy. 6,
behind the fairgrounds.  A green sign on Hwy. 6 points out the turnoff.
There are approximately 70 graves marked by fieldstones, piles of rock, depressions, or illegible markers.
Many of the remaining stones are very difficult to read.
This cemetery is fenced, mowed, shady, and open to the public.
Copied 18 Aug 1999, photos added June 2011, and submitted by Elayne Pair Gibbons.
