Bake, J.L. "Dad" Dad Bake, A resident of Versailles since 1928, died November 4, 1951.  He was born in Jackson county on June 11, 1874. He married Miss Julia M K innan on July 17, 1901 at Jonesboro, Arkansas. They lived 4 years in Arkansas, moved to Kansas City, Kansas and lived there until 1928.  They were the parents of 4 sons of which Everett L. Bake was killed during World War II.  The 3 remaining are: James William Bake of Littleton, Massachusetts; Charles J. Bake of near Pasadena, California and Fred G. Bake of Kansas City, Kansas.  Mr. & Mrs. Bake celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 17 of this year (1951).
   Funeral services in the Assembly of God Church with the Rev. W. N. Sachs officiating. Interment in the Versailles Cemetery.
