in the family Bible under the headings of "Family Record" and labeled
"Marriages", "Births", and "Deaths". The Bible was probably a
gift at the time Rebecca
and
Robert Rowland were married, and the first entry on each page is about
them or their children. After Rebecca's death, it was in the care of
her daughter, Mary "Allie" Rowland Humes, and after her
death,
given to Allie's daughter, Fanny Humes Linke, who made copies of the
family history pages and distributed them to family
members in the early 1960s.
