ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Pershing Raymond, my late uncle, first started collecting family data over twenty years ago. His work was my inspiration to do this.

Belva Mae Gardiner (Albany, New York), now deceased, published two books: "A History of the SORKNESS-WOLD Families of Solør, Norway and America" and "Addendum to..." These books are on file at the Library of Congress and a treasure trove of information.

Claire Groth, my cousin,compiled "ERICKSEN-GUNDERSEN FAMILY RECORD: Descendants of Erik Eriksen Gjeterud and Bertha Gundersdatter Bingen."

Kermit Kittleson, my cousin, who has spent countless hours expanding upon Belva's work and adding his own research. Kermit has also generously shared his work with me and helped to mount this web page.

Bjørn Flor (of Trondheim, Norway) is the father-in-law of a cousin. He sent me an incredible amount of family data, complete with sources. Bjørn has also helped with translations.
