Viola Pangburn Roberts closed her listing of Pangborns and Pangburns in the Civil Wa4r with the following comment, ----
There are several Pangburns whose war service cannot be had on account of the cases being active. Remember, - Viola was personally researching these records in the 1930s!!!!! She had to rely on the personnel at the National Archives to help her extract the information.

Judy Pangborn Howard needs your help, she writes, -
I am searching the lineage for the Charles Pangborn who married my great-grandmother, Flora Frances Rice, born 24 January 1881, in Monana County, Iowa She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Emma Crabb Rice (Emma was the granddaughter of John L Crabb and Lavina M Janes Crabb)
Charles and Flora had two sons, - Raymond Pangborn and Louis Harvey Pangborn, born 22 June 1905, Lebanon, Smith County, Kansas
The location (*) listed below are within hollering distance: of the Rice and Crabb families verified locations It would seem the following Charles is a perfect match, two years older, for my great-grandmother, Flora I do not have the proof to make this connection No records available as of yet I certainly am exited about this possibility

Shirley Hornbeck did her homework and found the following article in the Fall 1988 issue of Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society Quarterly
The article was written by Elizabeth J Wall, and she gave us permission to reprint it in The Pangburn Letter
PANGBURN FAMILY CEMETERY
FORWARD TOWNSHIP, ALLEGHENY COUNTY
This family cemetery is on the Pepka property in Forward Township, Allegheny county It was read 1975 76 According to the PANGBURN GENEALOGY the following were given as buried in CURRYS CEMETERY A
James CURRY made various purchases of land in this vicinity, and when he sold the last of his property in 1870, he was of Van Buren County, Iowa
Using the PANGBURN GENEALOGY by Cicero Pangburn McClure, I have been able to identify some of the people buried here There are a few discrepancies
Directions: Go up Pangburn Hollow Road past the crossroads Take the next road on the right up the hill The cemetery is on the right hand side There are two house her located close together About 25 feet from the road is a single tombstone of John WALL 1851 1925 About 100 or so feet from the road is a small enclosure containing the tombstones
