PEAY FAMILY OF S.C. TO MISSISSIPPI
Several months ago Jackie Walker PEAY, contacted me and sent some of her husband's PEAY family pictures. Her family has not been able to identify them. I am posting them here in hopes that someone can identify them.
She states that her line of PEAY'S migrated from S.C. to Mississippi about 1845. They show up in the 1850 Census of Chickasaw Co., Miss.

- Martha PEAY, age 42, b. S.C.
- Mary PEAY, age 15, b. S.C.
- Martha PEAY, age 13, b. S.C.
- Wyatt PEAY, age 12, b. S.C.
- John PEAY, age 9, b. S.C.
- Austin PEAY, age 5, b. S.C.
She only has a brief amount of information. She does have the PEAY-MONTGOMERY Family Bible. Printed in 1828. She says the writing is small and faded. If anyone lives in the area of Starkville, Miss. and would like to go visit and transcribe the bible record please contact her at Jackie PEAY
The pictures below, she thinks to be of George Edwin PEAY and Lena Lee ADAMS. George E. PEAY, b. 13 Jan. 1878-d. Jan. 1906. Lena Lee ADAMS was born 1881-d.1936. When George PEAY died, she married George David SANSING in 1908.

George C. PEAY and Mahala HICKS married July 19, 1868 in Oktibbeha Co., Miss.
Austin PEAY and Drunetta CHERRY were married Feb. 27, 1868.
