We are looking for any items, pictures from the Saint Clair area. These can be donated or placed at the building on loan. Due to our limited space, we cannot accept items that are not directly related to Saint Clair. We are looking for any pictures of the Armory on Third and Carroll Street and the White Bridge which was at the end of Mill and Nichols Streets, crossing where St. Cashmir's church is located. | |

(It is Adobe Acrobat format and may take a minute or two to download) Pictures from the building during the 2007 Tour of the Churches Pictures from our 2006 tour of Petersburg, Virginia, location of the Battle of the Crater. At this battle, miners from Saint Clair and the Schuylkill County area dug a tunnel under the Confederates and loaded it with dynamite. The highly-inventive plan would have been a success if not for the officers in charge making decisions on who would be the first troop into the battle. | ||

In 2000. Saint Clair celebrated its 150th anniversary. After all the events that filled that year many of the community decided to organize a group to keep bringing events to our community and to share our rich history with residents and visitors. The year following the sesquicentennial SC151 (Saint Clair 151th year) came about. With this they had two main branches, the community group and the historical society. In 2006, it was decided to rename the group to Saint Clair Community and Historical Society (SCCHS).
